Lunch with Wendy

Tuesday, August 19, 2008

Last Sunday, I met Wendy at McDonald's in Bugis Junction and then headed to Japanese restaurant for our lunch. Hmm...We had not been eating together for quite long time. I was very happy to see her as I really missed her. You know she is a funny gal who never fails me tickled. *Giggles* We chatted to catch up with each other and were eating at the same time. In the moment she asked me to get my camera out of my bag, she knew I always bring it along with me whenever I go out. You see she missed my cute toy, Nikon D40 as she played with it for a first time on NDP'08. She could not resist her temptation to play with it. Haha...

After our lunch we went shopping until I got Selena's sms that she was available for dinner as this morning I smsed her whether she was going for her class or not. She replied "No, I need rest at home." I told her that she could join us for dinner if she wanted. Wendy and I discussed on where to have our dinner. After confirmed a place for dinner, I smsed her to meet up at City Hall Starbuck. We continued shopping and then sat down for a drink and rest.

In 30 minutes we met Selena there and went to Mos Burger to eat our dinner. After our dinner we went shopping around. Until 7pm Wendy left us for home, Selena and I walked to Suntec City for shopping as she needed to buy top while I needed to buy shoes. Sigh. I could not find shoes I wanted so she bought a top from Sports shop and then we went home.

Tears In Silence

Wednesday, August 13, 2008

Last night I was on my bed, I was crying in silence. In my confused mind "why I felt bad whenever my friends followed me? Why I cannot be in same colour as my friends?" The old history repeated itself in front of me caused me nearly breakdown. Still I stood firmly and did not show it to my friends as I don't want them to be affected by me so I suppressed sorrow inside me. My heart hurt and bleed caused me crying until I fell slept.

Happy 43th Birthday to Singapore!

Sunday, August 10, 2008

Yesterday morning, I sent Eugene a sms to change the place from City Hall to Raffles Place mrt station as I knew there would be very crowded since it was nearest to Marina Bay Seating Gallery especially on NDP. Come to think I stayed at home watching NDP on television since I was young. I always watched out for fireworks at Kallang stadium from the kitchen window. Last year, it moved to Marina Bay so I still could see some small fireworks as it was far. Okay. Enough about this.

Later afternoon I arrived at Raffles Place, I was glad that there was a less crowded so I waited for Eugene. In the moment, he came and we went ahead to One Fullerton. When we got there, I told him that my friend would join us after her lunch appointment. Yes. It was Wendy. I love her very much as she was funny gal made me tickled. Ayoiah! Eugene wanted to have a lunch. True enough we had not had our lunch yet. I told him to wait for Wendy come so we chatted at Starbuck while waiting for her. And then she came, we discussed where to eat lunch. He suggested this place, Lau Pa Sat since it was near to here. So we ate there. When we are done, he went to order a takeaway for Selena. She was coming to take photos of fireworks with us together. While waiting for him, Wendy excitedly played with my camera.

Eugene said "It would rain"

He was right. Selena and I packed up our camera in our bags. I prayed it would not rain when the firework show started. We huddled on the floor as if we were sardine in can and shared his umbrella while rained on us. We chatted and watched the air show of RSAF Black Knights.

When rain stopped, Selena and I were setting up our tripods and cameras to get ready for fireworks show.

Fireworks show started. We took of them but too much smoke. What a disappointed! Sigh. Probably we were too near to the fireworks. We should walk further away from it.

NDP ended. We walked to the traffic junction at City Hall and then Eugene suggested we eat at Orchard, Selena did not want as she wanted to go to toilet at nearby. Before Wendy left for her appointment, she suggested we eat at Funan Mall so we agreed to have our dinner at Funan Mall. Wendy left so we were looking for restaurants or food courts however they were full of people. I felt very bad because of me; they had to look for restaurants which provide halal food. In my mind I was miserable enough and felt like wanted to cry but I did not want to show it to them. How poor of Selena and Eugene. They were hungry, there was no energy for them to walk some more. No choice, we went ahead to Orchard road by taking a bus. By this time we reached Far East Plaza, some of restaurants were going to be closed. Some were open to 11pm but not halal. So we went to KFC to eat our dinner and chatted for short while. We went home.

Singapore Garden Festival 2008

Sunday, August 03, 2008

On 30 July, Wednesday I met Selena at ticketing lobby in Suntec convention to attend Singapore Garden Festival 2008 for our photography leisure time. One guy saw us and said "hi" to us and then he told us that he is deaf. I immediately recognized him as Karen Tan's husband, Ken. I told Selena about Ken, we greeted him back. We talked for a short while and then we bade bye to him as he left.

In the moment we entered the entrance of level 4, we were greeted by scenic of beautiful and various flowers. Woah..so BEAUTIFUL!!! We separated and busy took photo. By time, we were done with photography at level 4, her memory card in camera was full. Ayoiah!!! I asked her why it was full, she said it was due to RAW took up too much space and also it was 1 GB. Sighs... 1GB was not enough. There was still some more at level 6! She forgot to bring extra 1GB memory card. Sighs... What to do?

We went up to level 6 and we were astonished. Woah! Woah! Beautiful and Best than we expected! Excitedly, I took photo. I helped her, took photo whenever she wanted to take photo by using my own camera because her memory card was full. We walked around and busy clicked and clicked with no rest until we were done. Walking too much made us worn out and hungry. So we had our dinner and went home with our tired feet though we had a great time.
